iPadOS 15 has a variety of new and interesting features, from new multitasking capabilities to improved Home Screen widgets, App Library, and much more. If you’re an iPad owner you’d probably like to know which devices are compatible with iPadOS 15, and if your particular iPad model supports iPadOS 15, right?

The good news is that Apple has allowed a broad range of iPad models to support iPadOS 15. In fact, the compatibility list for iPadOS 15 is so broad that if your iPad, iPad Pro, iPad mini, or iPad Air, could run iPadOS 14 then you will also be able to run iPadOS 15 on that same device.

iPadOS 15 Supported Devices

The official compatible iPad list for iPadOS 15 is as follows:

  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation)
  • iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation)

  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd generation)
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st generation)
  • iPad Pro 10.5-inch
  • iPad Pro 9.7-inch
  • iPad (8th generation)
  • iPad (7th generation)
  • iPad (6th generation)
  • iPad (5th generation)
  • iPad mini (5th generation)
  • iPad mini 4
  • iPad Air (4th generation)
  • iPad Air (3rd generation)
  • iPad Air 2

This list comes directly from Apple, so there is no guesswork about if those devices are truly supported or not for the ipadOS 15 release.

Currently iPadOS 15 is in beta. If you’re interested in checking it out you can download iPadOS 15 beta 1 for developers, run the iPadOS 15 public beta in July onward, or run the final version in the fall of 2021.
