iOS 16 Beta 2 & iPadOS 16 Beta 2 Available to Download
The second beta version of iOS 16 for iPhone and iPadOS 16 for iPad has been released for users enrolled in the beta testing programs for Apple system software.
These beta builds are for Apple Developers, and can be installed now by anyone who has a developer account or access to the beta profile.
iOS 16 includes a redesigned Lock Screen experience, new Focus mode features, additions to Messages app, and many improvements to Mail, Maps, Health, and other built-in apps.
iPadOS 16 includes an all new multitasking capability called Screen Manager but only for M1-equipped iPad hardware. iPadOS 16 also includes most of the features from iOS 16 as well.
Beta system software is not intended for use on primary devices, and developer beta builds are aimed at advanced users who are app developers or other creators for the Apple software platforms. The beta experience is buggy, and many apps crash or function in a suboptimal manner. Casual users who are interested in beta testing should wait for the public beta to become available in July, and even then approach cautiously.

Users who are enrolled in the beta system software program for iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 can find the beta 2 builds available now from the Settings app > General > Software Update mechanism on their device.
The final versions of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 will be available this fall.
Separately, the second beta version of macOS Ventura is also available to developers.
