iPhone 14 & iPhone 14 Plus Announced
Apple has announced the new iPhone 14, and iPhone 14 Plus.
Both iPhone 14 models feature the same design as prior iPhone 13 models, and the same A15 processor as last years model as well. However, there are improvements to the devices camera, and new features like Emergency SOS via Satellite.
iPhone 14 features a 6.1″ OLED display, while iPhone 14 Plus features a 6.7″ OLED display. Both iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus include a 12MP camera with improved detail and low light photography capabilities.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus also include a crash detection feature, that automatically triggers a call to emergency services and emergency contacts, when a car crash is detected.
All new iPhone models also includes a new feature called Emergency SOS via Satellite, which allows you to reach out to emergency services even when you don’t have cellular coverage, but have access to communication satellites. The Emergency SOS service is included free for two years with purchase of iPhone 14, and is only available in the USA.
The iPhone 14 starts at $799, where as iPhone 14 Plus begins at $899.
Pre-orders begin on September 9, and iPhone 14 will be available on September 16, while iPhone 14 Plus will be available on October 7.
Separately, Apple also announced the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra, Series 8, and SE 2, and updated AirPods Pro.
