Don’t Want Ads in ChatGPT? Try Claude Instead

If you’d like to maintain and ad-free AI experience, you might want to consider using Claude, which offers free AI tools, web chat, and clients for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, all of which are free from advertising clutter.

Why are you mentioning this? Well, you might have seen that OpenAI has recently announced that ChatGPT would start rolling out ads within your AI chats and conversations. And if you’re a Google user, you likely already have noticed that Google Gemini features ads littered around its AI content too. Displaying advertising can provide a way for services to be available for free (like the website you’re reading right now), but there’s a big difference between small websites using ads to offer free material, and a huge mega-corporation using advertising for not only revenue, but also data profiling, gathering, and tracking.

Claude offers free web access, as well as free clients for MacOS, iPhone, and iPad.

Of course if ChatGPT having embedded ads does not bother you, then it remains a fantastic chatbot and AI agent. I personally feel that ChatGPT is still by far the best LLM out there for general use, but depending on how ads are implemented in the service I think it’s perfectly reasonable to seek out alternatives that do not show ads.

Another good AI tool is Perplexity, but Perplexity also uses advertising and sponsored content, so it really depends on how you think about these services and the value they provide to you.

The reality of many modern services is that advertising is how they generate revenue and allow you to use those services, so it’s conceivable that even Claude will eventually join the ad party too. But for now, Claude is ad-free, while most of the other major AI LLM services are not or soon will not be.

There are other advertising free AI options as well, including the aforementioned Claude, Perplexity, locally run models like Llama, China’s DeepSeek LLM, and many others.

If you have a preferred AI tool or chatbot, share it with us in the comments!

As a French citizen, I prefer to give my information and other data to the French company MistralAI (Le Chat), which also gives me excellent satisfaction.

Personally I find that Claude lies/hallucinates a WHOLE LOT less than ChatGPT. If you’re doing anything technical like coding, or just getting help for a really complicated program like Unreal Engine, it’s infuriating how much of ChatGPT’s answers are just straight up lies. Ask ChatGPT to fix a bug, 50/50 chance it’ll just make it worse. Ask Claude to fix a bug, 95% chance it’ll fix it.

    Claude ftw!

Claude is super impressive and so is the ecosystem around it, OpenClaw etc are clearly the future.

How has Apple not scrapped Siri and started over already? Kind of embarrassing. Just read an article that Siri AI is postponed again – are you kidding me Apple? Why hasn’t Apple just bought Anthropic yet and had it continue to run as a separate company but power all of Siri and much more? Maybe kill the Siri brand and let it start fresh, or keep it as Claude.

With AI rapidly advancing I am surprised by Apple’s inability to get a useful assistant and AI agent going. Siri is stuck in 2012, even the old Alexa was far superior. Now Siri is still 2012 meanwhile all LLM’s are 2026 and getting updates with rapid advancements every month… Apple, hello? Give its another few years, what are the odds that some LLM company creates a blow-away new product that kills the iPhone or smartphone in general? I think that is fairly possible, and Jony Ive is already working with Sam Altman at OpenAI for some hardware device that uses ChatGPT.

Things are accelerating and Apple is far far behind in AI.
