Beta 8 of macOS 10.12.4 Released for Testing
Apple has released yet another beta version of macOS Sierra 10.12.4 as beta 8, as well as an updated beta of watchOS 3.2 beta 7.
Users who are enrolled in the beta testing programs for their various devices or hardware can find the latest versions available from the software update mechanisms.
MacOS 10.12.4 is testing a Night Shift feature that adjusts the display color to be warmer in evening hours, a similar feature exists with the same name in iOS. Aside from that feature, the beta release likely aims to address various bug fixes and include minor security enhancements, which is fairly routine with minor system software updates from Apple.
Currently, no new beta versions of iOS 10.4 are available, but it’s possible a new release of iOS 10.4 beta as well as tvOS beta will show up later.
It’s somewhat unusual for eight beta versions to be released for a minor point release update of Mac OS system software, but this could suggest the final version of macOS Sierra 10.12.4 will debut shortly.
I thought Apple killed the Mac and was winding down macOS. Was ready to ditch my iMac and iPad for Surface Pro. Is Apple still dedicated to Mac?
Don’t believe any fake news you read about Apple killing off their computer division – macs are still a huge percentage of business. I think if you ditched your mac for a surface you’d be tremendously disappointed (unless your needs are really simple).
Yippee Kai Yay!
