Instant & Cheap Cable Organization: The Most Useful Thing I’ve Seen All Week

Use binder clips to create an instant and cheap cable organization solution! Just clip them onto the end of your desk and slide in the cables and away you go. Binder clips are very cheap and widely available at virtually any office supply store, just be sure you get a set of clips that works for the width of your desk.
This is slightly brilliant, and I will definitely implement this at my home office where I’m constantly plugging and unplugging cables for my MacBook Pro.

Whoa great idea. My cord tangle is so large it forms a cable spiderweb that catches huge amounts of dust bunnies and other creatures. Once you’re stuck in that cableweb there’s no turning back, it’s doomsday.
I’ve been looking for something like this for weeks.
Many thanks!
genius stands into simplicity.
(you can’t even imagine how long I’ve been looking for an identical cable-organization)
Hey! Someone was peeking into my office! I also use these clips in other ways.
One refinement is that if you have a long cord and are using this tip, you can coil the cord and capture the coils in the clip part or the other loop (under the desktop). This reduces clutter even more. Just leave enough to pull the end to where you need it.
Another way I use these is as USB cable storage. I have several devices that use different mini and micro USB ends but I don’t need them frequently. I gather them all with the different ends together and clip them all in one clip. Then the loop part of the clip goes on a hook on the back of my desk. When I need one, it’s always right there and easy to get to but stays out of sight other times.
