Office for Mac 2011 Trial is Here
Microsoft has released a 30 day demo of Office 2011 for Mac, the trial is free to download and includes the entire Office suite for use. The other nice feature about the trial is that you can enter a product key at any point directly into the app, this lets you download Office 2011 for use now and then purchase a full license at a discount through a reseller like Amazon.
Download Office for Mac 2011 Trial
To download the free trial you will need to fill out a small registration form from Microsoft:
Even if you are going to buy the full version, I would suggest downloading the 30 day Office trial directly from Microsoft. You can then purchase a full license through Amazon to receive a substantial discount. This lets you use Office 2011 in the interim and avoid paying full price, and this also ensures that you can run Office 2011 on your Mac without any problems.
Converting the Office 2011 Trial to the Full Version
Once the trial has expired, or if you already know that you want the full version, you can buy a full registration key online and enter that directly into the trial to unlock the full version. This saves you from redownloading and reinstalling the application, install the demo once and it can become the full version.
Buying Office 2011 for Mac Full Version at a Discount
If you want a discount, do not buy the full version through the demo. Instead, if you buy Office 2011 from Amazon you’ll get a substantial discount of up to 19% off retail. You can then enter that product key into the trial and convert the trial to the full version.
