iPad 2 vs Kindle Fire [Video]
The Kindle Fire is out, but if you’re like me you’ve sat on the sidelines to wait for reviews and videos of performance before pulling the buy trigger. Those are starting to appear now, and while it’s obvious the iPad 2 blows the Kindle Fire away in speed and overall utility, the Fire holds up reasonably well considering it’s just $199.
How does it stack up to the iPad 2? The video below from iDo is a pretty fair comparison for some basic tests of booting, loading web pages, and streaming videos:

Is the Kindle Fire worth buying? Hard to say but it certainly looks interesting. Judging by the overall excitement and the cheap price, it’s seemingly guaranteed to be the next most popular tablet, although just how much share (if any) it takes from the iPad remains to be seen.
i just got a kindle fire and and i think its way better then the ipad2
I am getting the fire for christmas. It maybe slower, however, i would read books more on this device than all of the mumbo gumbo on the ipad. The IPad is good for the working americans. I am not a lets do a bunch of stuff…. I love my ipod touch, so i have music on that. i heard that the ipad is much breakable than the fire. I drop my stuff so that is why i aint getting the ipad.

I bought a coby kyros 2.3, I had a lot of problems with the device, wifi connection sucks, rotating screen flickers, and not real app market , kindle fire is 10 times better. The coby kyros is junk and only good if you hack it, ( flash, root and install gingerbread) but you might brick the device. note: you cant use netflix or flash products with out hacking the coby.
p.s ipad one 16 gig is selling for 400, its the same as the 2 just no camera
and kindle fire is netflix ready and backed by its manufacture .

Hi I asked my parents for a kindle fire, but now that I look at all the reviews and the saw the size, I am feeling that I should not get it. I was wondering if I should get the Coby Tablet instead of the Kindle Fire.
If the Coby Tablet is not good, do you recommend anything else that is under $200.
