iOS 9 Beta 1 Released for Developer Download
The first beta version of iOS 9 is available to download for users who are registered members in the Apple Developer program. The iOS 9 beta 1 build arrives as 13A4254v and is compatible with all iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models which can run iOS 8.
Eligible users can download iOS 9 beta 1 IPSW firmware files from the developer website here, you must be logged into a registered developer account to access the firmware download links.
Though the developer program is aimed at those building software for the Apple platforms, anyone can technically sign up for the $99 annual membership and get access to a variety of software development tools along with the beta system software for iOS and OS X. For casual users who wish to access beta software, a better (and free) approach is to sign up as a participant in the iOS Public Beta program, where iOS 9 will become available in July.
Registered developers will also find the first beta of OS X El Capitan available to download at the Apple Developer Center site.
iOS 9 aims to further refine features and performance for the mobile operating system, and will be available this fall as a final release for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
