Public Beta 5 of iOS 13 & iPadOS 13 Available to Download Now
The fifth public beta version of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 are now available to users enrolled in the iOS and iPadOS public beta testing programs. The new public beta builds match the iOS 13 beta 6 developer build from the day prior.
Anyone participating in the public beta testing program for iPadOS 13 or iOS 13 can find the latest update available to download now from the “Software Update” section of the “Settings” application.
The update is specifically labeled as “iPadOS 13 Public beta 5” for iPad, and “iOS 13 Public beta 5” for iPhone and iPod touch.
Anyone can decide to enroll in the public beta testing programs from Apple, though it wouldn’t be recommended for most casual users. Beta system software is typically much more buggy and probe to problems than final builds, and is therefore most appropriate for advanced users or for testing on secondary hardware.
If you’d like to test the waters with beta system software builds, you’ll want to make sure your device supports iOS 13 or iPadOS 13, backup your devices, and then proceed to learn how to install iPadOS 13 public beta for iPad, or how to install iOS 13 public beta on iPhone or iPod touch. Mac users can also beta test system software and learn how to install MacOS Catalina public beta on a Mac. Even Apple TV users can learn how to install tvOS 13 public beta on Apple TV if they want to.
iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 include a variety of new features including a new dark mode theme option, redesigned Photos app, adjustments to other built-in apps like Reminders and Notes, mouse support as an Accessibility feature, SMB file sharing and external storage support through the Files app, new Animoji, Memoji, and Emoji features, and a new multitasking capabilities for iPad.
According to Apple, the final versions of iOS 13, iPadOS 13, MacOS Catalina, watchOS 6, and tvOS 13 will be released this fall.
On the IPad the SMS function is not available
SMS on iPad requires an iPhone with the text forwarding feature enabled
With public beta 3 the new carplay works not perfect in every case, but was useable with every new functions in Seat Leon with the “6PO Navi System”.
One negative point was, the mic volume over cable connection was very quiet. But over Bluetooth phone calls are good.
With public beta 4 the new carplay starts and interupts after 5 to 20 seconds.
With public beta 5 it did not start any longer. The Radio give the information, carplay will be connected, but it crashes before I can see apple carplay.
I already send Feedback to Apple in every public beta. But Version by Version carplay is more and more unusable.
A lot of apps must be rewritten by the new Audio interface. In case of Deezer the Sound is jerky .-.-.-.-….
