iOS 26.7.1 & iPadOS 26.7.1 Security Updates Released
Apple has released iOS 26.7.1 for iPhone and iPadOS 26.7.1 for iPad as security software updates for users who still running the OS 26 series of operating systems and who are not yet interested in jumping into OS 27.
Separately, Apple has also released iOS 27.0.1, iPadOS 27.0.1 as minor bug fix updates, along with MacOS 27.0.1 Golden Gate, macOS 26.7.1 Tahoe, and MacOS 15.8.1 Sequoia.
How to Download & Install iOS 26.7.1 and iPadOS 26.7.1 Update
Backup iPhone/iPad to iCloud first and then go ahead with the update:
- Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone or iPad
- Go to “General” and then “Software Update”
- Choose to “Update Now” for iOS 26.7.1 / iPadOS 26.7.1 – note that you might need to scroll past the iOS 27 update banner to see the update available
The iPhone or iPad requires a restart to complete installation. .
You can also install iOS 26.7 / iPadOS 26.7 update by using a computer, or manually with IPSW files.
