Beta 2 of iOS 14.3 & iPadOS 14.3 Available for Testers
Apple has released iOS 14.3 beta 2 and iPadOS 14.3 beta 2 for users involved in the beta testing programs for iPhone and iPad system software.
Separately, Apple also released macOS Big Sur 11.1 beta 1 for Mac beta testers.
Betas of iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 likely focus on bug fixes and enhancements, but the beta update also includes a few minor new features, like ProRAW support for iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max cameras, amongst other small additions and changes. Remembering this is beta software, what ships with the final version remains to be seen.
How to Download iOS 14.3 Beta 2 & iPadOS 14.3 Beta 2
Always backup a device before installing any system software, but particularly for beta versions. Eligible beta testers can download the latest iOS 14.3 and iPadoS 14.3 beta release now from the software update mechanism:
- Open the “Settings” app
- Go to “General” then choose “Software Update”
- Select “Download and Install” for “iOS 14.3 beta 2” or “iPadOS 14.3 beta 2”
As always, the device will reboot to complete installation of the new beta release.
Beta system software is less reliable than final builds, and therefore is not recommended to be run by most users. Nonetheless, those who are developers, testers, or even just curious or adventurous, can run either the developer betas or the public betas of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 to get a look at what’s under development from Apple on the system software front.
For non-beta testers, the most recently available final build of system software for iPad and iPhone is currently iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2.
