Which is better macOS 12 Monterey or macOS Catalina? My mac states that macOS Catalina is the latest and that it is up-to-date!
I personally like MacOS Monterey, it is stable and consistent and still receives updates from Apple.
I do not like MacOS Ventura and would not recommend it unless using Ventura is necessary for some reason, but Ventura is buggy, has problems with everything from file sharing to the disaster of System Preferences, and is overall a difficult experience. It has been a frustrating OS to use.
MacOS Catalina is no longer receiving security updates, but some users may need to run it for software compatibility reasons.
