Beta 3 of iOS 16.6, iPadOS 16.6, MacOS Ventura 13.5, Available for Testing
Apple has released the third beta versions of iOS 16.6, iPadOS 16.6, and macOS Ventura 13.5 to users who are still running betas of the current generation of system software.
No major features or changes are expected in these versions of system software, as the majority of Apple’s developmental effort is likely being placed on the iOS 17 beta, iPadOS 17 beta, and MacOS Sonoma beta, each of which is available to download and run now by any interested user.
If you’re an active iOS 16.x beta or ipadOS 16.x beta tester, you can get the iOS/iPadOS 16.6 beta 3 release from Settings app > General > Software Update.
If you’re an active MacOS Ventura beta tester, you can find macOS Ventura 13.5 beta 3 to download from the Apple menu > System Settings > General > Software Update.
Apple typically runs through several beta versions before releasing a final version to the general public, which can help to offer a rough timeline for when a final release is available to the general public. With that in mind, it may be reasonable to expect iOS 16.6 and MacOS Ventura 13.5 to be unveiled sometime in the current month or next.
The latest stable releases of Apple system software are currently iOS 16.5 for iPhone, iPadOS 16.5 for iPad, and macOS Ventura 13.4 for Mac.
