iPadOS 17 Beta 4 Update Available to Download Now
iPad beta testers can now download and install iPadOS 17 beta 4 on their devices that are actively enrolled in the developer beta testing program for ipadOS system software.
While this updated beta is versioned as beta 4 for developers, presumably an updated beta 2 for public beta testers that matches the same build will also be released soon. Technically speaking, anyone can install iPadOS 17 dev beta right now for free by joining the Apple developer program.
Separately, Apple has also released iOS 17 beta 4 for iPhone, MacOS Sonoma beta 4 for Mac, watchOS 10 beta 4 for Apple Watch, and tvOS 17 beta 4 for Apple TV.
How to Download iPadOS 17 Beta 4
If you already installed iPadOS 17 beta onto your device, then updating is just like installing any other software update:
- Open the “Settings” app on iPad
- Go to “General”, and then choose “Software Update”
- Select to “Download and Install” for iPadOS 17 Beta 4
The iPad must restart to finish installing the latest beta update.
iPadOS 17 includes a variety of new features including a customizable Lock Screen, interactive widgets on the Home Screen, Stage Manager improvements, NameDrop contact exchanging, Safari Profiles support, FaceTime video voicemail, Health app for iPad, and various other smaller features and changes to the operating system.
The final version of iPadOS 17 will be released to all iPad users this fall as a free software update.
Separately, beta 4 of iOS 17, MacOS Sonoma 14, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10, are also available.
