Watch “Pirates of Silicon Valley” Full Movie & Enjoy the Old Apple vs Microsoft Rivalry
The 1999 movie “Pirates of Silicon Valley” offers a fun dramatization of the rivalry between Apple and Microsoft, from their origin stories at the beginning of the Personal Computing era, through their different philosophies and products. And the best part is, even though it’s Hollywood, it’s actually reasonably accurate!
Pirates of Silicon Valley is loosely based on the book “Fire in the Valley” about the birth of the PC industry, and even if the movie is nearly 25 years old, it’s still entertaining. It is also fun to consider if a movie like this were to be remade for the current era, since both Apple and Microsoft are in very different positions now compared to in 1999.
Anyway, watch the full Pirates of Silicon Valley movie for free, embedded below via The Internet Archive, put it in full screen and enjoy:
If the video embed doesn’t load for whatever reason, you can also watch it directly on archive.org, and even download the entire movie as an .mp4 file from that URL too, which apparently is provided by TNT to Archive.org.
If those options don’t work, you can also rent it on Amazon too.
Archive.org is a great site. I only started using it in recent years. It has many good books too. I’ve read probably $10,000 worth of books.
how does it compare to “Halt and Catch Fire”?
