MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1 Update with Bug Fixes is Available

MacOS Sequoia update

Apple has released MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1 as a software update to Mac users running the Sequoia operating system. The update includes bug fixes and security enhancements, and is therefore recommended for all MacOS users running Sequoia to install.

For Mac users who are running MacOS Sonoma or macOS Ventura, you’ll find Safari 18.0.1 update available instead.

Separately, Apple has also released iOS 18.0.1, iPadOS 18.0.1, watchOS 11.0.1, and visionOS 2.0.1, also with bug fixes and security updates.

How to Download & Install MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1 Update

First you will want to backup the Mac with Time Machine, then updating is simple as usual:

  1. Go to the  Apple menu in the top left corner of the screen and select “System Settings”
  2. Go to “General” and then choose “Software Update”
  3. When you see “macOS Sequoia 15.0.1” appear choose “Update Now”

If you’re running MacOS Sonoma or MacOS Ventura instead of Sequoia, you will instead see an update for Safari 18.0.1 available.

Installing the Sequoia 15.0.1 update requires a restart, as usual.

    Still didn’t fix the Firewall Options paralysis. Can’t control or delete anything in the upper half of the panel.
