MacOS Sonoma 14.7.4 and MacOS Ventura 13.7.4 update

macOS Sonoma 14.7.4 and MacOS Ventura 13.7.4 are available as small software updates for Mac users running the Sonoma and Ventura operating systems. The updates focus on security enhancements, making them recommended for all Mac users running those operating systems, and they appear to include same security updates available in the just released MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1 update for Sequoia users.

Aside from these Mac updates, you will also find updates available for iOS 18.3.1 for iPhone, ipadOS 18.3.1 for iPad, watchOS 11.3.1 for Apple Watch, update to Apple Vision Pro, and MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1 for Mac.

How to Download & Install MacOS Sonoma 14.7.3 Update or MacOS Ventura 13.7.3

Be sure you backup your Mac with Time Machine first, then go ahead with the system update:

  1. Go to the Apple  menu, then select “System Settings”
  2. Choose “General” and then go to “Software Update”
  3. Look for the small “Also available” section below everything else, and then click the tiny text button that says “More Info…”
  4. Check that MacOS Sonoma 14.7.4 or MacOS Ventura 13.7.4 is selected as the update, then choose Update Now

The Mac must restart to complete installation, as usual.
