iOS 18.7.2 and iPadOS 18.7.2 are available for iPhone and iPad users who are not running iOS 26 and who do not want to install iOS 26.1 update onto their devices. The iOS 18.7.2 and iPadOS 18.7.2 updates are security releases and do not include any new features or changes.
Separately, iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, macOS Sequoia 15.7.2, macOS Sonoma 14.8.2, watchOS 26.1, and tvOS 26.1, have been released as well, so don’t miss those updates for eligible devices.
How to Download & Install iOS 18.7.2 / iPadOS 18.7.2 Update
Don’t forget to backup iPhone or iPad to iCloud before starting your software update:
- Open “Settings” app on the iPhone or iPad
- Go to “General” and then choose “Software Update”
- Look for iOS 18.7.2 / iPadOS 18.7.2 and update that, taking care to avoid accidentally updating to iOS 26.2
