Sometimes when you check for available macOS software updates in System Preferences you’ll find there are multiple software updates available for different things, for example there might be a Safari update, alongside a macOS supplemental update, along with a security update, or firmware update. But what if you only want to install one of those updates and not everything?
Have you ever needed to stop or cancel an iOS update before it installs on an iPhone or iPad? Installing iOS software updates is easy through the Settings app, but you may have noticed that once an iOS update starts downloading there is no ‘cancel update’ or ‘stop downloading update’ button or option. Nonetheless, despite there being no obvious method to cancel the process, you can stop an iOS update while it is downloading if you act quickly.
If you’re updating several apps or downloading multiple apps at the same time on an iPhone, you can choose to prioritize a specific app download over the others with the help of a 3D Touch trick.
Chrome for iOS and Android defaults to showing an “Articles For You” suggested article section when opening a new Chrome tab or window with Google search.
If you don’t want to see the Chrome suggested articles on iPad, iPhone, or Android, you can disable the Articles For You feature.
The iPad Pro is already the best iPad ever made and you can take it to the next level by adding an Apple Pencil to the mix. But you’ll need to know how to set it up and get the most out of it.
With the addition of one accessory you can turn the iPad Pro into perhaps the very best digital note taking machine on the planet. It’s not just note taking, or Notes drawing and sketching tools, either. With tons of other drawing and painting apps in the App Store you’re only limited by your imagination rather than the technology. The Apple Pencil might not be cheap, but it’s a great accessory if you want to make the best use of your iPad Pro.

The new hardware includes a variety of improvements, and perhaps most notably a bigger screen. The new iPad model was announced at the days iPhone launch event, along with new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, and Apple Watch Series 5.
Let’s take a moment to review the new iPad:
Apple has announced the all new Apple Watch Series 5, with an always-on display.

If you use the Tags feature to tag files and folders on the Mac you may find it helpful to know that you can edit and rename tags to be more descriptive or to better suit your purposes for those tags.
For example, perhaps you want to rename some tags to be used as indicator of priority, so rather than having a tag simply named “Red” or “Blue” you could rename those tags to be “Urgent” and “Low Priority”. Or perhaps you’d like tags named something like “Personal”, “Family”, and “Work”, or to be project specific, or anything of that sort. Renaming tags on the Mac is easy, as you’ll see.
If you’re an iPhone or iPad user with a Spotify account and you happen to be visiting another location with Sonos Speakers, you might be interested in outputting the sound output from the iOS device to the Sonos speaker system. Usually Sonos speakers rely on the dedicated Sonos app to interface with, but that’s not always necessary, and if you have an iPhone or iPad and you’re a guest at a location with a configured Sonos speaker, you can typically export Spotify audio to the Sonos speaker without needing to login to anything or download the Sonos app at all. Essentially this lets you use Spotify with AirPlay outputting sound directly to a Sonos speaker as a guest.
Some Mac users may be aiming to turn off FaceTime because they have noticed the app launches itself automatically. Some have even noticed that FaceTime opens itself automatically on boot when the computer restarts or on system startup.
Sometimes this happens because of saved states and the user left FaceTime open before rebooting the Mac, but other times it appears to be a bug or issue with the FaceTime plist file and in those situations removing that preference file can often remedy the issue.
Additionally, some FaceTime features make the app open automatically when an inbound FaceTime call is being received on the Mac, and that can be addressed too.
