Quickly Enter LaunchPad “Jiggle” with Option Key in Mac OS X
Clicking-and-holding on an app icon in Mac OS X LaunchPad activates the jiggle, but you can also hold down the Option key to immediately start the jiggle.
As long as you continue to hold Option, the icons will continue to shake, allowing you to move them around into folders, delete apps and icons, or do whatever else you’re looking to do with the jiggly icons.
Additionally, if you have a multitouch trackpad, you can do a four fingered grab within LaunchPad to activate jiggle mode.
Other than allowing you to move icons around onto new pages and into different folders, LaunchPad makes it very easy to uninstall Mac apps in Lion, bringing the familiar iOS style jiggle-and-delete-an-app option to OS X.
I have no idea what the shaking icon mode is technically called, but this tip comes from FinerThings and they refer to it as “the jiggle”, so we will go with that.

Seems there was an update done to the lion Wikipedia site earlier today. I did google search for lion release date about 6 hours ago. The 4th or 5th ink was the Wikipedia link. It had already been updated with a release date of the 15th July. It lasted about 10 mins. I was able to take a screenshot on my iPad. Pity I can’t upload here. I think that is evidence enough they are releasing on the 15th. :) Goodtimes…
Fail.
Don’t see the X when it’s jiggling, is there a reason why its not showing?
How can I change the app size on launchpad?
The icon size is predetermined by the screen resolution
Great quote I read somewhere:
Every time my apps go into “jiggle” mode I wonder if they’re afraid of who gets killed next? lol
