iOS 4.3.4 Update Released (Direct Download Links)

iOS 4.3.4 Update

iOS 4.3.4 update has been released by Apple, the update is aimed at patching the PDF vulnerability in iOS 4.3.3 that allowed JailbreakMe 3 to work from a web browser. Because of this, if you used a jailbreak like JailbreakMe 3, do not upgrade to iOS 4.3.4 or you will lose your jailbreak. Users who are not dependent on jailbreaking should upgrade to iOS 4.3.4 because it patches security holes.

The update has been pushed out for all iOS 4.3 compatible hardware, in addition to a special version of iOS 4.2.9 for iPhone 4 CDMA users. You can download the update directly from iTunes, or you can use the direct download links below to obtain IPSW files per device.

iOS 4.3.4 Direct Download Links

These are direct download links for IPSW from Apple’s servers:

If you have any trouble downloading the firmware, right-click and ‘Save as’ and be sure the file downloads as a .ipsw and not .zip. After you have the proper file, hold Option (Mac) or Shift (Mac OS X) and click on the restore button within iTunes. You can read more about using IPSW files here if you are unsure.

I followed all the steps and jailbroke my ipod 4th generation ios5, and when i went to apply a new setting my ipod went to reboot then powered down and finally began to power back on but stopped at the screen with the apple. any ideas why it’s frozen??

It’s a tethered boot, you have to boot it with redsn0w every time the phone goes on and off. That is what TETHERED means.

    WHO CAN HELP ME?

I lost my iPhone 4 password (I was drunk & messed up the OS, also into Japanese display).

    it had iOS 4.3 firmware.

I tried to jailbreak it a few times (I had no idea how to do that from the start) & something was “going” on my iPhone while jailbreaking it, but the Japanese screen was appearing with a password input each time after rebooting it.

Finally i installed iTunes on my pc, and realized that their system begun RESTORING my iPhone system for a second.

i thought it was fine from the beginning when realized it was also updating to the latest ver. 5.0.1.

I panicked coz I’ve heard it may be a problem to jailbreak it in their newest system, so I unplugged my iPhone.

NOW, my iPhone shows only a picture with a USB plug & iTunes “music note” logo (nothing moves ahead in any direction.

NO JAILBRAKE WANTS TO BEGIN ANY PROCESS & while informing me that i had ENDED UP IN A RECOVERY MODE INSTEA OF DFU MODE (i remember i tried to get into that mode while had read some rough info about that in the internet & believed that was the way to FIX that iphone.

well, I’ve just succeeded to jailbreak it at this very moment with a new redsn0w_win_0.9.9b1.zip, and it installed me cydia iOS 4.3_8F190 firmware, i think, but same story repeats… logo, no booting up into iOS, etc.

    What can i do?

How can I install the right system & get rid of that password protection screen?
(I don’t remember that bloody password that i made in some bloody Japanese fonts system).

Would buying a jailbreaking SIM TRAY help???

I know how to fix your problem. But youn must jailbreak you apple device. This happened to ne multiple times. But, when my iPod touch 4.G 4.3.3 wouldn’t turn on j had to plug it into the computer and use the current jailbreak software I used to jailbreak my apple device to get it back up an running. Find some jailbreak companies to use to download the jailbreak on your apple device. When doing so, your apple device should boot back up. Then restore your device FIRST, then upgrade and update your apple product. Hope this helps an works! :)!
    Jailbreak software: Redsn0w, Greenp0ison, limera1n.
And try to make sure the the software is UNTRTHERED!

Is it possible to update an iPhone4 from 4.2.1 to 4.3.3 using Option_Update and the iPhone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw file now that 4.3.4 has been released?

  16. Jim Wickman says:

installing update 10.4.3.4 — where is the Restore button in iTunes?

    • Matt says:

Connect your iOS device and select it from the device list, you’ll see “Restore” under the Summary tab. That is what you can option-click on to upgrade manual IPSW, but there is little need to do that for the average user, just upgrading the usual route is easier.

I’ll skip this one so I can keep my themes :)
