3 Awesome Space Wallpapers
Everyone loves good looking wallpapers, and here are a few great space wallpapers being posted by request of our readers after seeing one shown in a recent tip screenshot.
The images are originally from the press page of a very interesting documentary on Chile’s Atacama Desert titled Nostalgia for the Light, they aren’t intended to be wallpapers but the images are high resolution and look fantastic as a background picture on iPads, iPhones, Macs, or whatever else you’re decorating – even the Surface!

For what it’s worth, the images are labeled on Flickr as “All Rights Reserved” and the photos “are for press and private use only.” Using them as wallpaper probably qualifies under the private use rights as long as you keep them to yourself and don’t do anything crazy with them. Anyway, enjoy!

If you really want a grander selection of potential astronomical wallpapers, though possibly not at the highest resolutions (hasn’t been an issue for me), consider going to this destination http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html and get an eyeful, everyday.
