September 10 Event Scheduled by Apple, New iPhones Expected
Apple has sent out media invitations to an event scheduled for September 10.
Historically these September events have been when the company launches new iPhone models, and it’s widely assumed that will be what is on offer at this years event too.
According to Bloomberg, Apple will announce three new iPhones in 5.8″, 6.1″, and 6.5″ display sizes.
The iPhones are said to look mostly like existing iPhone XS, XR, and XS Max models, but will feature new and improved cameras, faster internal processing capabilities, and improved water resistance.
Some rumors have suggested the three new iPhone models could be named “iPhone 11”, “iPhone Pro”, and “iPhone Pro Max”, or some variation of those naming schemes.
Separately, the aforementioned Bloomberg report says that new iPad models are in the works and will be launched sometime this fall, along with a 16″ MacBook Pro, though it’s uncertain if those products will be launched at the same September 10 event or will arrive at a later date as has often been the case.
We’re also likely get final release dates of iOS 13, iPadOS 13, MacOS Catalina, watchOS 6, and tvOS 13 at the media event.
The September 10 event starts at 10am PDT and will be live-streamed on the Apple website. If you’re interested in watching that live stream you can go to the Apple Events page and get a calendar reminder for the date.
