Beta 4 of iOS 13.5 & iPadOS 13.5 Released for Testing
Apple has released the fourth beta versions of iOS 13.5 and ipadOS 13.5.
Additionally, Apple also released the fourth beta builds for watchOS 6.2.5 and tvOS 13.4.5. As of writing, macOS Catalina 10.5.5 beta 4 is not yet available for testing, but presumably will arrive soon as well.
iOS 13.5 beta 4 and ipadOS 13.5 beta 4 focus primarily on bug fixes and security enhancements, but there are some minor new features and adjustments as well. iOS 13.5 beta for iPhone includes a COVID-19 exposure notification toggle, for example, and that will presumably carry forward in the final public release as well.
Users who are enrolled in the beta testing programs for iOS and iPadOS can find iOS 13.5 beta 4 and iPadOS 13.5 beta 4 available to download now from the Settings app Software Update section. Both developer beta and public beta versions are available.
watchOS and tvOS betas can be download through their respective Software Update functions as well for users who have enrolled their eligible Apple Watch and Apple TV to participate in the beta programs for those devices.
Apple usually goes through a variety of beta builds before issuing a final version to the general public, suggesting that iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 may be finalized this month.
The most recent final versions of Apple system software are currently iOS 13.4.1 and iPadOS 13.4.1 for iPhone and iPad, and MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 supplemental update for Mac.
