How to Enable Workout Do Not Disturb on Apple Watch
Are you receiving a lot of text messages or incoming phone calls to your Apple Watch while you’re busy working out? In that case, you may want to use Apple Watch’s Workout Do Not Disturb mode to mute all these notifications and complete your workout uninterrupted.
We’ve seen Do Not Disturb mode on iPhones and even Do Not Disturb While Driving which helps you stay focused on the road. While Do Not Disturb While Driving gets activated automatically when the iPhone is connected to a Bluetooth car stereo system, or when it detects motion activity consistent with driving a car, Apple Watch’s Workout Do Not Disturb mode turns on automatically when you start a workout.
How to Enable Workout Do Not Disturb Mode on Apple Watch
Turning Do Not Disturb for workouts is just as easy as enabling other DND modes, let’s take a look:
- Press the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch to access the home screen. Scroll around and find the Settings app. Tap on it to proceed.
- In the settings menu, scroll down and tap on “Do Not Disturb” which is the third option in the menu.
- Now, scroll down and use the toggle to turn on Workout Do Not Disturb as shown in the screenshot below.
There you go, you’ve got Do Not Disturb Workout Mode enabled on your Apple Watch, and you can workout in peace again.
From now on, whenever you start a workout on your Apple Watch either manually or by tapping on the prompt that pops up due to workout detection, Do Not Disturb will be activated automatically and will turn off once the workout ends.
As long as this feature is enabled, no phone calls, messages, notifications, and alerts will come through to your Apple Watch or your paired iPhone. It works just like the other two Do Not Disturb modes that iPhone offers.
