How to Delete Memojis on Apple Watch
If you’ve created a ton of Memojis using your Apple Watch or other Apple devices, you may certainly have a few that you don’t really use. If you’re planning to cut down the list of Memojis you have, you may be interested in deleting those unwanted Memojis right from your wrist with an Apple Watch, provided you have one.
For those who aren’t aware, Apple brought the Memoji app to Apple Watch with the watchOS 7 update which allowed users to easily make Memojis without having to take their iPhones out of their pockets. Not only does this mean that you can create and edit existing Memojis, but you can also remove the unwanted Memojis, including the ones that were created on your other Apple devices.
How to Remove Memojis on Apple Watch
As mentioned earlier, the Memoji app is only available on watchOS 7 and later:
- Press the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch to access the home screen full of apps. Scroll around and tap on the Memoji app.
- Opening the app will show you the Memojis you’ve created. You can use the Digital Crown to switch to other Memojis. Tap on the Memoji that you want to remove to enter the Edit menu.
- You’re in the Memoji Edit menu. Here, scroll down to the very bottom.
- Now, you’ll find the option to remove the Memoji. Tap on “Delete” to confirm.
That’s pretty much all you need to do.
Likewise, you can repeat these steps to delete other Memojis that you’ve created so far. It doesn’t really matter what Apple device they were created from, since all of them will show up on your Apple Watch anyway.
The same menu can be used to duplicate Memojis or create a Memoji Watch Face too if you’re a big fan of personalizing your Apple Watch according to your liking. You can learn more about setting a Memoji as your watch face right here.
Considering almost all Apple Watch owners use an iPhone, you may also be interested in learning how to delete unwanted Memojis on your iOS device. Some users who may not want to fiddle around with the tiny screen on the Apple Watch to get it done would rather use their iPhones instead.
Now you know how to reduce the number of Memojis that you’ve stored on your Apple devices using this Apple Watch method. How many Memojis do you have in total currently and how many did you delete?
