MacOS Monterey 12.6 & MacOS Big Sur 11.7 Released
Mac users running macOS Monterey or macOS Big Sur will find new software updates available, as macOS Monterey 12.6 and macOS Big Sur 11.7, respectively.
The system software updates are recommended for all Mac users to install as they include important security fixes, and come alongside the release of iOS 16 update for iPhone.
Additionally, Safari 16 is available for MacOS Monterey and Big Sur, which also includes important security updates.
How to Download MacOS Monterey 12.6 / MacOS Big Sur 11.7 Update
Don’t forget to backup the Mac with Time Machine prior to installing system software updates.
- Go to the Apple menu, and then select “System Preferences”
- Choose “Software Update”
- Click on “Update Now” for macOS Monterey 12.6 or macOS Big Sur 11.7, to download and install the update on the Mac
You will also find Safari 16 available to download and install within the Software Update preference panel.
Updating to macOS Monterey 12.6 or macOS Big Sur 11.7 will require the Mac to restart.
