Apple price increases are significant across much of their product lineup

Apple has significantly raised prices on all Mac models and iPads for sale, along with notable price increases on multiple other Apple devices and accessories as well.

Pricing of iPhone remains unchanged at the moment, as does the price of Apple Watch. The price increases were recently rumored to appear soon due to rising memory prices, and they have officially arrived today.

A full list of product price increases is further below.

The reason cited for the notable increase in prices is the global RAM and SSD shortage, caused by massive purchasing of these components by various AI companies. Apple released a statement to Reuters to explain this:

“We have never seen a component price increase this much, this quickly. We have shielded our customers from these increases so far, but we have now reached a point where we need to begin raising prices on a number of products, including today’s increases for iPad and Mac. We know this is not welcome news, and we are working tirelessly to find solutions.”

AirPods Price Increases?

  • No change to pricing of AirPods at this point

No consumer enjoys price increases, so these are undoubtedly going to be unpopular with end users and those looking to buy Apple products.

There is some good news though; Amazon has yet to raise prices on most Apple gear, so you can still enjoy some phenomenal Apple deals and discounts that skip the price increases if you shop from them, and those deals look even better now that prices have increased across the board from Apple. What were once $150 discounts on MacBook Air are now $350 discounts on the same machine, for example. Check out Amazon’s Apple store and shop while these low prices are still available.

well there are hardly any ssd drives left for sale and the asking price is insane as the ONLY Pro 6G ssd drive OWC macsales available is $4,279.99 for 16TB.
Western digital is not selling ssd drives anymore while other once dominate ssd drive companies night be finished.
This hike is really not  fault bur they should have see this coming and prevented these price hikes or did something.

Never forget this, and it applies not only to Apple but to everything you consume: YOU are the sheep !

I can understand price increases on some of the current and future product lines, but jacking up prices on current Refurbs is just a dick move.

Ouch, these are not small increases!

The MacBook Neo and MacBook Air really hurt since those were at accessible price points to a broader audience for a brief window there. The iPad is now comically overpriced to the point where I would not recommend the product to anyone when the MacBook is so much more capable at less cost for the Neo. MacBook Pro is now so premium priced that only the most needy professionals will justify the expense.

Apple has something like a 40% margin on their hardware and 80% margin on their software and services, so they could have absorbed more of the cost, but I suppose AAPL shareholders would rather they pass the cost to consumers.
