iOS 26.3 update

Apple has released iOS 26.3.1 for iPhone and iPadOS 26.3.1 for iPad. The new software updates include support for the new Apple Studio Display and Studio Display XDR. There are also unspecified bug fixes included in the small software updates.

Separately, Apple has also released macOS Tahoe 26.3.1 update with support for the same displays, and also with nonspecific bug fixes.

How to Download & Install iOS 26.3.1 and iPadOS 26.3.1 Update

Always backup iPhone or iPad to iCloud before getting started with system software updates.

  1. Open the “Settings” app on iPhone or iPad
  2. Go to “General” and then go to “Software Update”
  3. Choose to “Update Now” to download and install iOS 26.3.1 to iPhone or iPadOS 26.3.1 to iPad

You will instead find iOS 18.7.6 available if you’re running a device that is eligible for that release instead.

Installing updates through Settings is the simplest way to go, but users can also use a Mac or Windows PC to install updates or even use IPSW files.
