How to Disable Screen Time Weekly Report Notifications on iPhone or iPad

Feb 2, 2019 - 4 Comments

How to Stop Screen Time Weekly Notifications on iOS

Want to turn off the Screen Time Weekly Report notification that appears on iPhone or iPad? There are a few ways to do that, and one is particularly quick and easy that allows you to disable the weekly screen time reports right from the iOS device lock screen.

Note this does not turn off Screen Time in iOS itself, nor does it remove a Screen Time limit on apps, only the notification about the weekly report. Screen Time is a great feature of iOS that lets you keep track of how long apps are used on iPhone and iPad, allowing you to set limits on app usage and even set time limits on categories of iOS apps like social networking so that you can better manage your time. It’s really quite useful, but some users may not want to see the weekly reports showing where they were using their time and on what apps or app categories.

How to Mute iPad to Turn Off Sound and Audio Output

Jan 31, 2019 - 16 Comments

How to mute iPad and turn off sound

Want to turn off sound on an iPad and mute the audio? You can do that rather simply with a few different methods, though some may be easy to overlook. The iPad and iPad Pro have volume adjustment buttons which can serve as mute, and there’s also a designated software mute switch for alerts which when activated will silence the sound coming from the device. While older iPad models had a hardware mute switch, the latest iPad and iPad Pro models removed the physical button in lieu of the hardware volume buttons or onscreen silencing function that when toggled mutes all alert sound and audio output from the iPad speakers or any connected headphones.

Using mute on iPad is simple, we will review both how to mute an iPad to turn off all sound, and how to unmute an iPad to re-enable sound and audio output on the device, as well as using Silent Mode. These tips apply to all newer iPad and iPad Pro models with a modern iOS release.

How to Change IP Address & GeoLocation for Web Browsing with Epic

Jan 30, 2019 - 11 Comments

Change IP geolocation and IP address with Epic Browser

Ever wanted to change your IP address or geolocation when using the web? Whether for privacy reasons, or to access certain regions web content, with Epic Browser, you can easily do either.

While the privacy use-case is fairly obvious (maybe you just want to be a bit of anonymity while you browse the web), the region restriction scenario is a bit different. Sometimes when browsing the web you may occasionally run into region restricted, and thus your home IP address (or even your entire country) can not access a particular website, web content, some web video, or some similar web service. For web browsing specific purposes, an easy option to get around those region restrictions is by using the free Epic Browser, which includes a built-in encrypted proxy that allows you to not only change your IP address but also change the IP geolocation. With Epic Browser, you can pick a new IP geolocation for browsing the web that is located in the USA west coast, USA east coast, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, India, or Singapore.

iOS 12.1.3 No Service or Cellular Data Problems on iPhone? Try These Fixes

Jan 26, 2019 - 34 Comments

iPhone No Service no cellular data problems

Some iPhone users have discovered cellular data issues after installing the iOS 12.1.3 update, showing “No service”, no cellular data, no cellular reception bars, and sometimes seeing a “Cellular Update Failed” message similar to what was happening with some iPhones after installing iOS 12.1.2. This seems to mostly impact iPhones on particular cellular networks, but it’s not entirely clear why some iPhone devices will experience cellular data problems after installing the iOS 12.1.3 update while others don’t.
