You can easily speed up YouTube videos or slow down video playback, all by adjusting some simple but largely hidden and little known settings on the YouTube web site. This is a helpful trick for many reasons, for example if you’re watching something boring that you want to accelerate, if you want to speed up a conversation or interview you’re watching, or maybe you want to slow down a video to enjoy it at a more casual pace or to understand it better.

Do you have GPS coordinates for a location that you’d like to enter on the iPhone? You can input and search maps by GPS coordinates on the iPhone easily by using the Apple Maps or Google Maps applications, as we’ll demonstrate in this walkthrough.

You will be able to input, search for, find, locate, and show on a map any location as defined by GPS coordinates, which are traditionally in a latitude and longitude, DMS, or the DD decimal degrees format, though you can also use other geolocation formats too. While we’re focusing on finding locations by GPS coordinates with iPhone, this trick works the same to enter geolocation data on the same mapping apps on iPad and iPod touch as well.

It is assumed that Apple will stop allowing older 32-bit applications to run on future iOS system software releases. Essentially this means that it’s possible some older apps will stop working on an iPhone or iPad after the device has updated to some system software release, unless the developer updates those apps to include modernized 64-bit support.

While this is all fairly technical and far beyond what the average iPhone or iPad user should worry about, it could potentially impact some users who rely on older apps, or apps which are no longer updated by developers. Mac users may encounter a pop-up error originating from the Messages app in Mac OS which informs them “your message could not be sent”. Often when this error dialog appears, it’s seemingly out of nowhere or when a Mac wakes from sleep or has rebooted.

While it’s possible to encounter the “your message could not be sent” error for legitimate sending failures, or because iCloud or iMessage is down (very rare), it’s also possible the error can appear due to a syncing issue in which case there is nothing to adjust, and the solution in that case is a bit goofy.

The Mac Dashboard is an under appreciated feature in Mac OS that offers a screen of little widgets for displaying things like the weather, dictionary, stocks, currency conversion, ski conditions, world clocks, and more. The Dashboard feature is kind of like what the latest iOS widget lock screen offers, but on the Mac. For whatever reason, Dashboard has been deemphasized in more recent versions of mac OS though, and if you find yourself not using Dashboard or accidentally entering into Dashboard, you can close the feature and turn it off.

Sometimes, Mac users may encounter a black screen when they wake their Mac from a sleep state. The issue is quite obvious if you experience it; when you attempt to wake a Mac from sleep or open your MacBook lid, the screen stays black, although the computer is obviously awake as often indicated by the keyboard being lit up or even alert sounds triggering from the computer. This black screen upon sleep wake issue can happen at random, I encountered the black screen on wake issue after updating my MacBook Pro to the latest version of MacOS, so although it’s not particularly common it’s also not exceedingly rare.

Don’t panic! If you experience an unresponsive black screen when waking your Mac from sleep, you’ll likely be able to resolve the problem with the following troubleshooting steps.

The internet is generally pretty useless on April Fools day, which makes April 1st a great day to basically ignore anything you see online because it’s probably a prank, a joke, or outright fake.
