Quickly Enter LaunchPad “Jiggle” with Option Key in Mac OS X Lion

LaunchPad Jiggle

Clicking-and-holding on an app icon in Mac OS X Lion‘s LaunchPad activates the jiggle, but you can also hold down the Option key to immediately start the jiggle. As long as you continue to hold Option, the icons will continue to shake.

Additionally, if you have a multitouch trackpad, you can do a four fingered grab within LaunchPad to activate jiggle mode.

Other than allowing you to move icons around onto new pages and into different folders, LaunchPad makes it very easy to uninstall Mac apps in Lion, bringing the familiar iOS style jiggle-and-delete-an-app option to OS X.

I have no idea what the shaking icon mode is technically called, but this tip comes from FinerThings and they refer to it as “the jiggle”, so we will go with that.

Seems there was an update done to the lion Wikipedia site earlier today. I did google search for lion release date about 6 hours ago. The 4th or 5th ink was the Wikipedia link. I think that is evidence enough they are releasing on the 15th. :) Goodtimes…
