How to Unblock People from FaceTime Calling on iPhone & iPad

Do you want to remove one of your contacts from your FaceTime blocked list on iPhone or iPad? Whether it’s a contact or just a random phone number, you can easily unblock people on FaceTime in iOS and iPadOS.

Blocking doesn’t necessarily have to be permanent all the time. Sometimes, even a friend could annoy you enough to deserve a temporary block. With the blocking feature that’s currently available on almost all social networks, video calling, and phone calling services, you have complete control over who can try to communicate with you. Consider this as a preventive measure to stop any further spam or harassment. FaceTime is no different when it comes to how blocking and unblocking works. If you’re familiar with unblocking a caller on iPhone, this process should seem be easy for you.

Unblocking someone from FaceTime is actually a pretty simple and straightforward procedure on iOS and iPadOS devices. Just follow the steps below to get started.

  1. Open “Settings” from the home screen of your iPhone or iPad.

That’s pretty much all there is to it. Now you’ve understood how easy it is to unblock someone from FaceTime using your iPhone and iPad.

Keep in mind that when you unblock someone on FaceTime, you’re also allowing them to make phone calls with you, send you text messages and emails. So, if you were looking to unblock someone just on FaceTime and keep them blocked on everything else, you’re out of luck, since there’s no such option currently to limit the block (or unblock) like that.

You can follow the same steps to view the list of all blocked numbers and contacts on your iOS device to keep it updated on a regular basis. You can use this to add someone new to the blocked list or unblock anyone else, if you prefer. You can also block and unblock someone from the recent callers list too.

What do you think of the way blocking and unblocking works with FaceTime, and how it carries across to other contact methods like Messages and phone calls? Share any of your thoughts or insights in the comments.
