First Beta Builds of OS X 10.11.6, iOS 9.3.3, tvOS 9.2.2 Arrive
Apple has released the first beta testing versions of multiple system software updates, including OS X 10.11.6 beta 1, iOS 9.3.3 beta 1, tvOS 9.2.2 beta 1.
Presumably the beta releases will focus primarily on bug fixes and feature enhancements, which is typical for point releases of system software.
The initial builds are available to developers in the developer beta testing programs, but will likely roll out to public beta testing users shortly as well. Users who are participants in the beta testing programs can find the update now through the Software Update mechanism of iOS and tvOS, or the Mac App Store for OS X.
It’s unclear if OS X 10.11.6 addresses the system freezing issue that first debuted in OS X 10.11.4 and persists in OS X 10.11.5 for some Mac users.
It’s assumed that iOS 9.3.3 will remedy some specific issues that impacted some iPad Pro users with iOS 9.3.2, along with resolving other bugs as well.
Beta versions of system software are generally less stable than final version releases, and are thus best reserved for advanced users on non-primary hardware.
Updated to 10.11.6 beta and now 2nd monitor won’t wake… always something!
Any fix for this?
I was not able to update my new iPad Pro to the 9.3.2 update. Called able and busied the local genius Apple Store and they too said their was still a glitch in the update, however my iPad 2 was able to take the update? So there is still work to do on the developers end fir successful deployment for all pads
LOL! Hilarious.
Thanks for the info on increasing Font sizes. My own efforts left such a mess that I was forced to restore the original settings. Now the displays are great, I can read the text with no difficulty. Great.
