iOS 10.2 beta 2

Apple has released a second beta version of iOS 10.2, alongside new beta versions of tvOS 10.1 beta 2 and watchOS 3.1.1 beta 2.

iOS 10.2 beta includes a variety of minor new features and enhancements, including handfuls of new emoji icons, a newly refreshed “TV” app to replace the Videos app, more visually prominent shuffle and repeat buttons in Music app, and a few new wallpapers. Additionally, there’s a new SOS feature which dials emergency services automatically if you repeatedly press the power button five times in a row.

The current iOS 10.2 beta 2 build is available for developers enrolled in the beta testing program, and public beta versions typically roll out soon after.

While no specific schedule is known for iOS 10.2, Apple usually goes through multiple beta versions before releasing a final version to the general public.

The most recent final build of iOS available remains iOS 10.1.1.

The minor beta builds of tvOS 10.1 and watchOS 3.1.1 are predominantly bug fix focused.

I wish they would fix the Bluetooth audio connections for calls. I can accept the call, says the BT is connected but it’s still routed to the phone.. have to grab the phone and change to phone then back to BT.
Or is it just on a 5c that’s it’s an issue?

I wish Apple would have daily updates. I really get excited when there are updates for my phone!!!

Hard to care about the new constant software updates for buggy releases and when apple is squishing the mac line.

It’s a beta version. Opt out of the beta program if you don’t like doing updates. No-one is requiring you to update anything anyway. Go whine about it to your cat or something.

  4. Parker Tyler says:

I don’t know if this is iPhone 7 specific but the article says press the home button 5 times for SOS mode and my iPhone 7’s settings says the press the sleep/wake button 5 times. And my videos app still says videos.

    • Luis says:

The article doesn’t say to press the home button. It says to press the power button, which is the same as the sleep/wake button mentioned in your iphone 7 settings. Here is the line about that: “Additionally, there’s a new SOS feature which dials emergency services automatically if you repeatedly press the power button five times in a row.”
