Want to work at the NYC Apple Store? It’s easier to get accepted into Harvard University

Apple’s newest snazzy NYC store got 10,000 job applications and just over 200 were hired, making a 2% acceptance rate. BusinessInsider points out this is lower than the 7% acceptance rate at Harvard University. I imagine the economic situation contributes to the slew of resumes, but even still, those are some pretty remarkable statistics.
And there’s a 0% acceptance rate to any Female Synchro Swimming Team if your are a man.
likewise it’s harder to get into certain preschools than get into Harvard, but something tells me Apple Stores aren’t looking at your pedigree and familial name to see if you’re worthy of their little elite and segregated society
MIT > Harvard
It’s also harder to get hired by the Austin, TX Fire Department than it is to be accepted into Harvard apparently.
