WWDC 2013 Dates Announced for June 10-14, Tickets on Sale April 25 at 10AM PST
Apple has announced the Worldwide Developer Conference for 2013 will be held June 10 through the 14 in San Francisco at the Moscone West center. Tickets will be made available for purchase April 25 (tomorrow morning) at 10AM pacific time, and will cost $1599 per developer.
Though the primary interest is generally aimed to developers, the event is likely to include previews of the next ten Apple operating systems, including Mac OS X 10.9 and iOS 7. Apple also rewards the annual Apple Design Awards during the event, which showcases some of the best apps available for both the Mac and iOS platforms. Aside from those elements, it’s a very technical conference, with hands-on labs, technical sessions, and presentations from Apple engineers.
Apple’s press release for the event highlights a quote from Phil Schiller:
“We look forward to gathering at WWDC 2013 with the incredible community of iOS and OS X developers,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “Our developers have had the most prolific and profitable year ever, and we’re excited to show them the latest advances in software technologies and developer tools to help them create innovative new apps. We can’t wait to get new versions of iOS and OS X into their hands at WWDC.”
In order to be eligible for purchasing WWDC tickets, you must be a registered developer in Apple’s iOS or Mac developer programs
