iOS 8.2 Beta 2 Available for Developers
A second beta of iOS 8.2 has been released to users participating in the iOS Developer program. The newest beta version arrives as build 12D445d and is said to focus primarily on bug fixes that remain with the mobile operating system.
Release notes accompanying iOS 8.2 beta say the new build resolves bugs associated with keyboards not displaying properly in Safari, Maps, and other apps in the iOS Simulator (a developer application), and the addition of Siri support for Singapore users, though other resolutions to problems and issues experienced by iPhone and iPad users are likely included as well.
iOS 8.2 beta 2 supports all iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models that can run iOS 8. Developers who are participating in the iOS Developer Program can find the iOS 8.2 beta 2 release available in Software Update as an OTA download if they’re running prior beta versions of iOS software, otherwise the IPSW files can be found through the appropriate developer center website.
Beta versions of iOS are intended for developer usage only. At the moment, the most recently available public version of iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch software is iOS 8.1.2.
Users who are interested in learning a bit more about the update can find the releases notes for this version over at 9to5mac.
iOS 8.2 also includes WatchKit, a dev toolkit necessary for making apps for the upcoming Apple Watch product. Additionally, a new version of Xcode 6.2 beta 2 is also available for developers.
