iOS 9.1 Beta 4 Released for Testing Along with Fresh tvOS Beta
Apple has released iOS 9.1 beta 4 to users participating in the developer beta and public beta programs. The new build arrives as 13B5136 and continues to focus on bug fixes, feature enhancements, along with the addition of new emoji icons.
Users running a prior version of iOS 9.1 beta can find the new version available to download now from the Software Update mechanism in Settings. Developers can also download the IPSW from the Apple Developer Center for compatible iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices.
iOS 9.1 is also said to include support for iPad Pro, along with the accompanying stylus Pencil product and the Smart Keyboard. Additionally iOS 9.1 is likely necessary for compatibility with the upcoming new Apple TV.
Separately, Apple has also released a new version of tvOS for Apple TV 5,3 models, arriving as build 13T5379f.
The new Apple TV and iPad Pro are set to launch later in the fall, perhaps suggesting that iOS 9.1 will be available to the public in a similar time frame.
The most recent final version of iOS available to the general public is currently iOS 9.0.2.
