Beta 6 of MacOS 10.12.6 and iOS 10.3.3 Available for Testing
Apple has released the sixth beta versions of iOS 10.3.3 and macOS Sierra 10.12.6. The beta updates are available now for users enrolled in the beta testing programs for system software, but who are not on the iOS 11 and macOS 10.13 beta builds.
macOS 10.12.6 beta 6 is available via the Mac App Store Updates mechanism. Note the beta release is separate from the concurrent ongoing beta test of macOS High Sierra 10.13.
iOS 10.3.3 beta 6 is available via the Software Update mechanism of iOS. The iOS 10.3.3 beta is different from the ongoing beta test of iOS 11.
No major features or changes are expected in either macOS 10.12.6 or iOS 10.3.3, though iOS 10.3.3 includes a few new water themed wallpapers. This suggests the upcoming minor point release versions will predominantly aimed at bug fixes and security enhancements to system software.
Apple will typically issue several beta versions of system software before a final release is made available to the general public. This can offer a loose timeline of sorts, and could indicate that we’ll see the final builds of iOS 10.3.3 and macOS 10.12.6 available in the next coming weeks as a system software update available to all users.
