Apple has released the first beta version of macOS Big Sur 11.4 to users enrolled in the beta testing program. The first build arrives as 20F5046g and is available now for developers, which is typically soon followed by a public beta version as well.

The first beta of macOS 11.4 comes while macOS Big Sur 11.3 RC is also available for testing and is not yet available to the general public.

Betas of macOS 11.4 likely focus on improvements and enhancements to the macOS operating system, and also apparently includes support for AMD 6000-Series Navi GPU’s. It’s unclear what other changes will be included in 11.4 betas, or if any new features will be showing up.

Apple usually goes through several betas of system software, suggesting macOS 11.4 is months away from public release.

Meanwhile, macOS Big Sur 11.3 is expected to arrive finalized to the public next week, alongside iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5.

The most current version of macOS is currently macOS Big Sur 11.2.3.
