iOS 16.3.1 and iPadOS 16.3.1

Apple has released iOS 16.3.1 and iPadOS 16.3.1 for iPhone and iPad, respectively. The update includes bug fixes and security enhancements, and is therefore recommended for all eligible users to download onto their devices.

Additionally, Apple has released software updates for MacOS Ventura 13.2.1, watchOS 9.3.1, HomePodOS 16.3.2, tvOS 16.3.2, and Safari updates for Big Sur and Monterey Mac users.

How to Download & Update to iOS 16.3.1 / iPadOS 16.3.1

Be sure to backup iPhone or iPad to iCloud, Finder, or iTunes before initiating a system software update.

  1. Open the “Settings” app on iPhone or iPad
  2. Go to “General”
  3. Select “Software Update”
  4. Choose to “Download and Install” for iOS 16.3.1 / iPadOS 16.3.1

Updating an iPhone or iPad to iOS 16.3.1 or iPadOS 16.3.1 is also possible by using a computer with Finder on the Mac, or iTunes, or the Apple Devices app, on a Windows PC.

This update provides important bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone including:

    Could not get download and update to progress. It was stuck on it’s spinning wheel. It would prompt me to use mobile data or not, and prompt me to temporarily remove apps, but the update would not progress. Tried several times. Deleted two apps: Rumble and Newsmax. Chose mobile data, and tried again. Now the update proceeded.
