First Betas of iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, & MacOS Ventura 13.3 Released for Testing
Apple has released the first beta versions of MacOS Ventura 13.3, iOS 16.4, and iPadOS 16.4.
The beta builds are available now for developers and are typically soon released for public beta testers as well.
iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, and macOS Ventura 13.3 betas all include new Emoji icons like a donkey, hair pick, jellyfish, and moose head. Presumably the releases will also include bug fixes, feature refinements, and perhaps introduce a new feature or change or two.
Mac users in the MacOS beta testing program can find MacOS Ventura 13.3 beta 1 available to download now from Apple menu > System Settings > Software Update.
iPhone and iPad beta testers can locate iOS 16.4 beta 1 and iPadOS 16.4 Beta 1 available from Settings > General > Software Update.
While beta system software is intended for advanced users and developers, anyone can technically run it through the public beta testing program. Also, it can be useful for average users to keep an eye on beta system software releases to know what they can expect in future system software updates to their devices.
Apple usually releases a final version after several beta versions have been tested, so we’re probably 5-6 weeks away or more from the final versions being released to the general public.
The most recent available stable builds of system software are currently macOS Ventura 13.2.1, iOS 16.3.1, iPadOS 16.3.1, iOS 15.7.3, iOS 12.5.7, and macOS Big Sur 11.7.4, and macOS Monterey 12.6.3.
