iOS 26.6.1 & iPadOS 26.6.1 Security Updates Released for iPhone & iPad

iOS 26.6.1 and iPadOS 26.6.1 are available as security software updates

iOS 26.6.1 and iPadOS 26.6.1 have been released as security updates for iPhone and iPad, respectively. Additionally, there’s also iOS 18.7.10 and iPadOS 18.7.10 available with security patches.

These updates include over 30 important security fixes and are therefore recommended for all users to install on their devices.

Separately, Apple has released macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 with security patches for Mac as well.

How to Download & Install iOS 26.6.1 and iPadOS 26.6.1 Update

Be sure to backup to iCloud prior to updating your device:

  1. Open the “Settings” app on iPhone or iPad
  2. Go to “General” then to “Software Update”
  3. Select “Update Now” to download and install the iOS 26.6.1 update / iPadOS 26.6.1 update

Installing the update onto your iPhone or iPad will require the device to restart.

If you’d prefer, you can also choose to update the iPhone or iPad with a computer and a USB connection, or by using an IPSW firmware file which we will link further below.
