Get a 3D Classic Mac OS Menu Bar with Lickable
Remember when MacOS (then called Mac OS X) was skeuomorphic, with a three-dimensional looking user interface elements that were fun to look at? Apple called that interface “Aqua”, but over time has slowly flattened and squished the aqua interface out of MacOS and into the flat bright white iOS-ish like interface instead.
If you miss that old classic menu bar style on your Mac, that looked kind of 3D and embossed, you can get it back again with a free app called Lickable Menu Bar.
Using the app is as simple as it gets in classic Mac fashion; just open it, select your desired menu bar style, and enjoy the immediate effect.
I wanted to have a 3D classic looking Mac OS menu bar again, so I chose the “Glossy / Tiger” option, but as you can see in the app options there are other choices a well.
This app offers a nice and fun way to customize your Mac appearance a bit and in a simple way. Perhaps one day someone will find a way to reskin the general user interface to be classic and 3D in appearance too? But for now, you can enjoy at least a neat looking menu bar again, if you’re into that sort of customization of your UI.

I remember there used to be an app called Candybar that let you change all the icons. It came with some built in themes and I think you could creat or download others. I think Panic made it
Nice!
Thanks for the tip.
