Did you know iPhone 4 and iOS 4 allows you to display white on black text, and reversing the on screen colors?

You can invert the display of the iPhone 4 much like you can on a Mac, which changes the text to be white on black for a much higher contrast viewing experience.

Here’s how to do this in iOS 4:

  • Tap on “Settings” on iPhone
  • Select “General”
  • Tap “Accessibility”
  • Tap the ON/OFF toggle next to “White on Black” to invert the display

This also makes a good prank to play on someone with an iPhone 4.

This feature does not appear to be present in older versions of the iPhone or iPhone system software, but it does appear in all new versions of iOS 4 moving forward.

Thank you to CW for sending in this tip!

Triple clicking the Home Button does nothing until you assign it a function via that same Accessibility menu.

This works on my 3GS/iOS5, by the way.

Doesn’t work on 2nd gen Touch or 3G, but makes for a frightening appearance on iPhone 4

    Works also on the 3GS
