Redsn0w 0.9.7b6 is now available to download as the sixth beta in the iOS 4.2.1 untethered jailbreak public test program. This release fixes bugs that prevented Skype from functioning properly.
The Dev Team notes that Redsn0w 0.9.7b6 can be run on top of existing 0.9.7b5 jailbreaks, and if you’re only looking to repair Skype functionality over beta 5 then all you need to do is run redsn0w and deselect every checkbox. If you missed beta 5, then you’ll find that Bluetooth support is now included and working as intended.

The release is currently limited to Mac users but the Dev Team reports they are actively working on improving the Windows version, although there was no timeline given.
i want to install the redsnow software but i did’t find it plz tell me how can i find it :( i have a iphne 3g its speed is very slow i want to update a new version plzz tell me :(

I think the Dev Team will be working toward windows for Redsn0w 0.9.7, now that GreenPoison RC5 is out, (I hope GPS, bluetooth, Skype will be fixed for the window RedsnOw 0.9.7), but does anyone knows?

Can someone tell me how to install redsnow 0.9.7b6 on mac os x. Everytime I try to run its keep giving me error and ask me to relaunch.
Is there any additional software do I need to run on MAC.

your as much of a loser as the other fools blaming the developers for not having a windows version. they are doing an amazing thing for all of us. be patient on unlocking your i product or invest in a real computer and get a MAC! numb nuts!

what version of iphone OS (IPSW file) that you recommend for jailbreak with iphone 3GS? and where i find it?
If you don’t need to unlock you can just use standard iOS 4.2.1 IPSW for iPhone 3GS
You only need to use a different IPSW if you want to unlock the carrier
Any ideas if this can be used for the Apple TV 2?
Use Seas0nPass for AppleTV2 it is much better and does everything for you including downloading the IPSW and creating a custom file.
It’s arguably the best jailbreak experience out there, it’s how *all* jailbreaks should be, great UI, easy to use, etc.

get a real computer and invest in a mac then. your a fool the compunity is doing an amazing job using the native hardware for an APPLE iphone, an apple computer.
Enjoy your one button, no decent games computer.
I’m fine playing games like Bioshock from the Mac App Store. And we you can use two fingers to do a right click. Or if you’re a huge gaming nerd that needs more buttons you can use a mouse with more than one button. In fact you just plug it in and IT WORKS. No need to wait for it to download something. It just works like that. Amazingly simple, very efficient, and much nicer than on my Windows computers.
Or just appreciate the work these developers do for nothing, no cash reward, for YOUR benefit.
But idiots like you can’t see that. It’s an inconvenience when these developers don’t work at light speed and don’t provide you with a jailbreak isn’t it.
Jailbreaking is a priviledge, try and treat it like that.
Now go pop all your toys back in the pram and join them. It’s warm and cozy in there. The big bad world can’t get you from in there.
As a windows user who still doesn’t really like macs (but has to work on fixing my wifes) I have to say..
