iPad restaurant menu

The iPad is already a huge hit in China, and some trendy restaurants are cashing in on the craze by using the iPad as a visual menu to order your meal from. Is this gimmicky or just another creative use of the iPad?

Other than the fun gadget factor, seeing a picture of the food you’re about to order is a nice idea because we’ve all ordered something that sounded a lot better in the description than what arrived on the plate. These kind of visual menus might be extra appealing to those who don’t speak or read the native language too.
