iPhone 7 is Here, Release Date Set for September 16
Apple has announced the all new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The devices feature all new cameras, water resistance, stereo speakers, and a longer battery life.
The internal components of the iPhone 7 have been updated with a faster processor. The enclosure of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus looks quite similar to the same as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, though the rear of the device has been slightly changed so that the obvious antenna bands are no longer stretching across the back of the device. Additionally, the iPhone 7 is available in a new shiny jet black color and a new matte black color, alongside the typical silver, gold, and rose gold colors.
You’ll be able to pre-order the new iPhone now and deliveries and store availability are set for Friday September 16.

iPhone 7 Video Overviews
Apple has posted a variety of videos for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, embedded below:
Additionally, Apple has provided a video overview of the AirPod wireless headphones:
I don’t want MORE iPhone. I’d like more top end Android phone features. Some things about iPhones are superior, but an awful lot of things are starting to get pretty late.
I believe I read “old-fashioned” earbuds still will work with the 7s. I assume that’s what the dongle is for. Am I correct? Does anyone else have that same assumption or, better yet, assurance?
Yes the old style earbuds work but you will need the ridiculous dongle adapter to use any AUX type cable. I think Apple is crazy to do away with the headphone jack, it is used everywhere. Cars. Stereos. Headphones. All over the music industry. Ugh, not happy about this one.
Why didn’t they call this the iPhone 6SS? It’s the same idea as the iPhone S
The time has come, the Wise Man said, to talk of many things .. like what on earth do you, can you, expect ? Once upon a time, iPhones didn’t exist . Then they did . So you sprung big gelt . And did it again & again . Now that story has ended . A dozen Steve Jobs could not give more phone for your mega bucks . That, Children, is that . Buy a Huawei ⁉️
Sorry about all the errors on Airpods.
Airports work with the older HW. The new HW design is based on the EarPods NOT The iPhones.
I didn’t expect much, and was surprisingly disappointed, even with my low expectations. The only interesting thing are the EarPods. The phone is very uninteresting.
Phone looks decent, but the ‘new tech’ AirPods seem like an error in judgement. Easy to lose etc.
I recall people wearing black things in their ears, sometime with flashing LEDS for about a year. That was supposed to be ‘new tech’
back then (and looked silly).
I also recall the term ‘glasshole’ for google glass wearers, I wonder if ‘AirHole’ or ‘PodHole’ will hit the common vernacular.
Agreed – they do look like a halfbaked idea. Also, +1 for “airhole”
Will the AirPods work with older iPhones? Will they work with MacBook Pros and iPads?
Maybe the AirPods will work on new hardware only, they seem to use a wireless protocol that is not widely adopted yet because they did not mention Bluetooth. Maybe only new iPhones and the next generation Macs and iPads that have yet to be released?
I think the AirPods will work with any Bluetooth device, based on what I have read.
